Brands are sometimes a little nervous watching tough discussions play out in an online community environment, even when it is private. Every now and then, a community member will take an extreme or unreasonably negative position. Some manager's immediate response is to pull down the comment. However, we have found that the community members themselves will almost always address the situation immediately. If the post's author is being unreasonable or misrepresenting facts, community members quickly set the record straight. The result is often a great opportunity to see justice, and in some cases loyalty, to a brand or product play out right before your eyes.
