My-Take Unveils AI-Powered Video Analysis and Enhanced Theming Insights
Westborough, MA, USA – [August, 22nd, 2025] – My-Take, a leader in insight technology, has launched a powerful new suite of AI-driven analysis tools for qualitative research, headlined by advanced video capabilities and complemented by broader enhancements across its platform. Designed to accelerate and deepen qualitative survey analysis at scale, the new features span AI Video Theming Analysis with Auto-Generated Highlight Reels, a full Reel Editing Suite, Instant Theming enhancements, and a smart Coding Agent for both video and text data.
As video becomes an increasingly central part of market research, researchers face growing challenges in managing and interpreting large volumes of video feedback. Manually reviewing hundreds of survey video responses is not only time-consuming but often fails to scale insights effectively. My-Take's new AI video analysis tools address this need head-on, while the additional enhancements further expand the platform’s value for qualitative analysis.
“With this launch, we’re unlocking a completely new level of qual at scale and storytelling for our clients. These features empower researchers to spend less time on manual tasks and more time crafting compelling stories that drive action. Our goal is to help researchers go deeper, faster, and accomplish more. We see AI as a collaborative partner that amplifies the researcher’s experience, enabling them to do more with their insights. We’re delivering capabilities that not only improve efficiency, but also elevate the quality and clarity of insights shared with decision-makers.” - Todd Hoskins, Co-founder
AI Video Analysis Features:
Introducing AI Video Theming Analysis with Highlight Reels
With AI Video Theming Analysis, My-Take’s platform automatically identifies and organizes recurring themes across survey video responses. The AI distills feedback into clear patterns and pulls relevant quotes and clips to support each theme, cutting hours of manual review and enabling researchers to focus on higher-level synthesis and storytelling.
In addition to analyzing spoken feedback, the AI also interprets sentiment and nonverbal cues, such as facial expressions and movement, offering a deeper, more nuanced understanding of participant reactions.
The Highlight Reels feature builds on the theming capability, auto-generating impactful videos organized by theme. These reels bring the most compelling moments of customer feedback to life, giving stakeholders a fast way to engage with real customer voices and insights.
Reel Editor: Customization with Control
The Reel Editor allows researchers to quickly edit and customize theming highlight reels. Designed with flexibility in mind, users can rearrange clips, trim content, and adjust messaging to align with stakeholder needs. Alternatively, they can create reels from scratch or use the AI wizard to create a reel guided by the platform. No matter the starting point, the Reel Editor provides complete creative control.
Built for Surveys, With More to Come
While AI video analysis focuses on video content collected through surveys, support for video IDIs, focus groups, and other activity types are on the horizon.
Broader Qual Analysis: Instant Theming Enhancements and Coding Agent
In addition to video analysis, the release includes features designed to enhance qualitative research across activity types.
Instant Theming Enhancements
We’ve upgraded our AI Instant Theming to give you more control and clarity. Now you can easily toggle between narrative descriptions, counts, or percentages, with improved visibility into the underlying verbatim. This enhancement brings a quantitative layer to qualitative research and is available for both video and text responses. This update helps you gauge theme prevalence, prioritize insights, and communicate findings with confidence.
Collaborative AI Coding Agent
My-Take’s Coding Agent is an optional AI-powered assistant that supports both video and text data. It helps researchers apply the most suitable coding methodology for their study by automating bucketing to improve consistency, accelerate workflows, and reduce manual effort. Researchers can also provide specific guidance or terminology to the agent, enabling the AI to customize its analysis to fit the unique needs of each study. Manual bucketing remains available for projects that require full researcher control or specialized coding schemes.
How to Access and What’s Next
All features in this release are now available to My-Take clients across all service levels.
While the new video analysis capabilities are currently optimized for survey-collected responses, support for video IDIs, focus groups, and other activity types is on the way.
